The shaving of pH peaks by means of a neuralization stage whithin the overall design of an effluent treatment plant, for example  for the chemical and pharmaceutical sector, the coatings industry and painting shops.

The concentration of highly diluted chromic acid solution by vacuum eva-poration is carried out in a circulation evaporator constructed from the borosilicate glass / titanium / stainless steel materials combination, the evaporator capacity being about 60kg (m²h) when operated with hot water. The limited achievable in the conden-sate is about 5mg of CrO3/I. This solution is of particular interest to the manufacturers of chromic acid purification plants or effluent treatment plants, which can integ-rate this reconcentration into their installa-tions.

Solutions for the transport and storage of liquids posing a hazard to water, such as highly corrosion resistant vessels or jack-eted pipes and hermetically sealed valves and pumps, are included in the range off ered by SCHOTT Chemical Technology Division.
